More than 100 years ago Mrs M was diagnosed with Breast Cancer.
Surgery was often fatal then and there were no anaesthetics, pain killers or anti-biotics like today. Also her best friend had died during a similar operation.
Regardless of these facts she was too poor to be able to have treatment, and after the diagnosis returned to the camp where her husband worked.
An Indian man gave her some herbal tea to drink
In 1922 as an old lady she was admitted to hospital.
when Nurse Caisse saw her scars she asked what had caused it.
This was the start of the story of how Nurse Caisse became the greatest healer of cancer patients from the 1920’s to the 1970’s.
