Nellie Mc Wittie is still alive to tell her story today(1977).
Wasted to a mere 86 pounds, she was carried, haemorrhaging, into the clinic one day in 1935.

Her doctor in Sudbury, Dr Dale, believed that she had cancer of the uterus and neck of the womb.

The neck of the womb had been cauterised, then subjected to radium treatment (before she received Essiac).

Later at the cancer commission hearings in 1939, Mrs McVittie was able to appear in person and tell her story.

” Miss Caisse’s treatments certainly put me on my feet. I could barely get around at all when I went to her. I weigh about 107 pounds now”, she said in part of her testimony.
