My Experience With Essiac.
Following is a statement of events experienced by * * Brown,
(Christian names address has not been included in this posting.)
D.O.B. ** -** -1918,
events leading to the need for and use of Essiac; its dramatic effects and the subsequent state of health as a result.
My local G.P. is Dr W, of

19 - 9 - 94
Admitted to C***** Memorial hospital by Dr W,
suffering from extreme breathlessness.

20 - 9 - 94
Transferred to L***** Base Hospital by Dr L,
had chest X-Ray on admission. Report on X-Ray is attached.

23 - 9 - 94
Further Chest X-Ray in Hospital Report is attached..
Dates indicated in the body of this report apparently should read “20 - 9 - 94″.

28 - 9 - 94
C.T. Scan of the Thorax. Attached Report suggests that clinical / biochemical tests may assist in diagnosing my problem more accurately.

Lung Biopsy performed. The results are indicated in the attached Cytopathology Report. My diagnosis - “incurable lung cancer”.

Dr L suggested radio therapy and referred me to Dr A,
cancer specialist at the R**** B**** Hospital.

14 - 10 - 94
Dr A confirmed incurable lung cancer and advised me to return home to use what “limited time” I had , there, rather than undergo radio therapy which could achieve very little.
This I did, having no treatment at all.

My two daughters were aware of Essiac and its remarkable effects on a friend who,
having had conventional treatment for a bowel cancer,
was sent home with limited time,
as medical science had nothing more to offer.

My daughters procured some Essiac
and insisted their sceptical father try it.
It was then readily available.

20 - 10 - 94
I commenced taking Essiac - 100 mls 4 times / daily.
I began to improve remarkably and in six weeks I was up and about,
feeling better each day.

18 - 1 - 95
I have recovered sufficiently to resume relatively normal activities
so I visited Dr W who sent me for a Chest X-Ray which showed remarkable resolution of the earlier tumour cavity. Report is attached.

19 - 1 - 95
I visited Dr L who compared this X-Ray with that of 23 - 9 - 94,
and was amazed with what he saw.
He was incredulous that such a change was possible.
It was then that I told him I had been taking Essiac.
He asked me for its details and told me to continue using it.
He referred me for a CT Scan check.

25 - 1 - 95
CT Scan of the thorax confirmed indications consistent
with those of the X-Ray of 18 - 1 - 95.
Report of the CT Scan is attached.

I visited Dr Laird after, and with the CT Scan and Report on the same day. He advised me to continue taking the Essiac for at least six months.

He agreed to give me a “THEN AND NOW” statement -
my condition prior to and during hospitalisation,
my outlook on discharge and my present state of health.
He has done that and I have attached his statement to head the file of X-Ray etc Reports.
He has even included Essiac
as part of my present medication.

20 - 2 - 95
As I write, I feel my cancer situation has been checked by Essiac.
I continue to keep well, certainly far beyond that anticipated
by the medical profession nearly five months ago.
Within generous limitations, I have resumed normal activities
and feel most optimistic for the future while I continue with Essiac.

My research has indicated that the use of Essiac for the treatment of cancer has been suppressed overseas for much of this century and I now wonder if our present Government is afraid of the repercussions from the medical profession, pharmaceutical companies and the like if a simple herbal remedy for cancer achieved results far beyond those of present day medical science.
